Travelling to York with friends, colleagues or wedding guests? Railway House has eight self-catering apartments in one building, allowing you to stay close together while keeping separate bedrooms, kitchens and living spaces across your booking.

How many people can stay?

Railway House accommodates up to 30 guests across eight apartments when the full configurations are available: three one-bedroom apartments for two guests each, three two-bedroom apartments for four guests each, and two three-bedroom apartments for six guests each.

This is accommodation across separate apartments, rather than one large house with a communal room for the whole group. Availability depends on your dates and existing bookings. A group enquiry does not reserve the building or guarantee exclusive use.

Choose the right apartment combination

Platforms 1, 4 and 5 each sleep two. Platforms 6, 7 and 8 each sleep four. The full three-bedroom versions of Platforms 2 and 3 each sleep six. If you see smaller configurations of Platforms 2 or 3 in the booking system, these are alternatives within the same physical apartments and cannot be counted as additional accommodation.

Start with the number of guests, the bedrooms you need and any access requirements. Then compare the apartment layouts. Please check with us before booking if your group includes children or infants, or anyone who needs a particular floor level or access arrangement.

Wedding guests and shared city breaks

Railway House is a place to stay, not an event venue. Group bookings remain subject to the house rules, including no parties or events and respect for other guests and neighbours.
